About this property

Welcome to Medina Inn

Medina Inn is a family-run inn located conveniently on Hwy 55 in Medina, Minnesota, adjacent to the Medina Entertainment Center which offers restaurants, a concert venue, and a bowling alley. This setting makes it a practical choice for visitors attending events nearby or those passing through the area. The inn sits about 16 miles from downtown Minneapolis and roughly 4.5 miles from Interstate 494, providing reasonable access to the surrounding region including Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, a 32-minute drive away.

The property offers relaxed rooms and suites that reflect a simpler era, featuring traditional metal keys and decor reminiscent of the late 1970s to 1980s, according to multiple guest reviews. While the interiors may benefit from updates, the inn is noted for cleanliness and comfortable bedding. Guests appreciate the smoke-free environment, the quiet atmosphere despite the proximity to the entertainment center, and the friendly, attentive service from staff.

Although it does not have amenities such as a pool, restaurant, fitness center, or airport shuttle, the inn welcomes families and provides accessibility accommodations, making it suitable for extended stays or travelers seeking practical, no-frills lodging.

Nearby outdoor attractions add to the appeal for guests who enjoy nature and recreation, with Lake Minnetonka, Elm Creek Park Reserve, and the Three Rivers Park District all within easy reach. Visitor reviews reflect a balance between appreciation for the inn’s value and location and recognition of its older style and modest facilities, identifying it as a good option for those prioritizing convenience and comfort over luxury.

I attended an event at the Medina entertainment center next door. This was super convenient. There is plenty of free parking. It's near a highway. The room had a METAL key and the decor matches the metal key. The bedding was fresh. It could really use an update, but it was a fair price and the perfect location. The service was quick and friendly. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast.

I had the pleasure to spend 2 days at this establishment. I was amazed of how clean the Inn was inside and out. The room was especially impressive. The front desk was and is professional and very accommodating. The maintenance man was quite witty as well. The price was very reasonable. They offer continental breakfast which is great for those on the run. There is an entertainment center on the property that has a restaurant and a few more things like a mini event center. The Inn is very quiet and ran with care. The drive to Minneapolis takes about 25 minutes. This Inn definitely deserves a visit and its on hwy 55. Medina Inn thanks for cake and cookies a nice touch for those of us who enjoy a sweet treat before bed.

The motel was kept very clean, the room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. The staff was great and helpful. Kept the breakfast items filled as the motel was completely booked when I was there. I was afraid of the noise of the event center, but never heard anything or disturbed by any of the guests there. Appreciate that it is a non-smoking motel and they enforce that. Only down side I saw was the water damage to the ceiling on the 2nd floor. Although it wasn't leaking nor did the room smell damp from it, it just wasn't pleasant to look at. All-in-all, it was a comfortable place to stay, very affordable and close to all the attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing majorly fancy but had an excellent overnight stay. Hotel and rooms are clean and well kept. Medina inn takes me to the late 70's but thats okay. Had a comfortable nights sleep. Hotel is next door to the Medina ballroom and bowling alley. Easy to get checked in they had rooms available. I'll definitely stay again. Been going to the Medina ballroom since 1993 so I'm quite familiar and enjoy going there.

Overall, a great place to stay. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They will take care of you nicely. Although it's doesn't have more amenities like bigger hotels, the Medina inn does a great job with making sure you have a comfortable stay.

Very Real Place, real.people that care. Accommodations are 80's standards at best. The hospitality and.on site entertainment center, bowling venue , home cooked restaurant, make this more like a home Very cool, unique, and interesting They still use Key Fobs. Please don't stop. This is an example of the finest in the glory days of highway travel.

The Medina Inn was close to a wedding we were attending and we were very, very pleased! The bed was exceptionally comfortable (in fact better than many in much more expensive hotels), the staff was very pleasant and helpful (they let us check in 2 hours eary to get ready for the wedding), the whole place was really clean and the breakfast was good. We would definately stay there again, even if our plans were in the city 1/2 hour away. The person who said the owner was grumpy probably was the one at fault and I'm glad they were kicked out so that guests who wanted to rest were not bothered by the noise this particular inconsiderate guest was making! I give the motel 5 stars!
